Scotmid’s store in Pilrig re-launched today (16 August 2013) with a brand new look and a range of new in-store services for customers.
Arlene Stuart from Forth One breakfast show, Forth One, cut the ribbon and welcomed the first customers, some of which had been waiting since 6am to see the new store.
Pilrig Scotmid has been refurbished with a modernised design, a more spacious layout and a larger range of products and customer services.
One of the key features of the store is a new in-store bakery from local baker, Stuart’s of Buckhaven, as well as speciality breads from The Breadwinner Bakery. The store now has a larger range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a bigger chilled section and an extended range of wine and craft beer.
Roy Haston, Store Manager said: “The new Pilrig Scotmid is great, it’s a big change. I really like the updated style and the colour scheme. We’ve now got a fantastic bakery table with bread from The Breadwinner Bakery, and the in-store bakery from Stuart’s of Buckhaven is already proving very popular. The fruit and vegetable section looks great too and there’s a bigger variety now. We’re looking forward to showing our customers their new look store and we hope they’ll love it as much as we do.”
The new-look Scotmid store is at 370 Leith Walk, Pilrig, Edinburgh, EH7 4PE, and is open from 6am to 11pm seven days a week.
